Kindergarden, here she comes...

Today is Lauren's first day of kindergarten. Mom and Dad worked VERY hard to get out the door on time. We made her lunch and packed her backpack (which ended up weighing more than she does) the night before. We got up on time and were able to make beds and have everyone dressed, fed, and in the car by 8:05am (our goal was 8am...not bad). We all walked Lauren to Mrs. Peterson's line by the flag pole. While many of the kindergardeners were cowering behind their parents, Lauren was just the opposite, bouncing around and taking in all the sights. She let us take a few pictures and then said, "You can leave now." We hugged and kissed her and headed back to the car, wiping tears from our eyes as she marched with her classmates into the building.
